Classical Homeopathy

“Homeopathy has been of tremendous value in reversing diseases such as diabetes, arthritis, bronchial asthma, epilepsy, skin eruptions, allergic conditions, mental or emotional disorders, especially if applied at the onset of the disease.” George Vithoulkas.

Good health means considering the entire physical, emotional and psychological health of the individual and that Classical Homeopathy considers the whole person and works to precise laws and principles, stimulating your immune system to systematically remove the layers of dis-ease and restore your wellbeing,

As we travel through life we can suffer a variety of shocks, be they psychological, emotional or physical, and we react according to our predispositions. As we continue with our hectic lives, we may appear to be coping, but each shock, whether psychological, emotional or physical, has the potential to disrupt our whole being.  For example, sudden grief, an accident or even a simple skin complaint may become suppressed and start to affect our internal organs. It may go deep into the emotional body and eventually manifest as anxiety or depression, or it may appear on the surface as a variety of physical conditions. Through studying your medical history, including both physical and emotional shocks, the Classical Homeopath works to gain a detailed understanding of the underlying disturbances to your wellbeing, so that balance can be regained.

I am sure that most medical practitioners, whether conventional or Homeopathic, wonder at the body’s ability to remain in balance. For example, under normal conditions the body maintains its precise internal temperature regardless of the environment or the level of physical activity, and yet when under threat the body raises its temperature, disrupting any disease or infection, and increasing the body’s ability to defend itself. We know this, yet many therapies consider symptoms such as a temperature or fever to be a symptom which needs to be controlled, rather than an indication that the body is trying to heal itself.

Classical Homeopathy respects the intelligence of the organism and considers mental, emotional and physical symptoms to be the organism’s way of preserving its life.  The first principle of Classical Homeopathy is similia similibus curantur, which translates as like cures like.  Matching your symptoms to the remedy is intended to provide your immune system with the stimulation it needs to initiate healing

The Classical Homeopath monitors your healing process, with the understanding of Hering’s law of cure that is, that we heal from the top down, from the inside out and layers are removed in the reverse order that they established themselves.

As a Classical Homeopath I aspire to be an unprejudiced observer, my many years of study and clinical experience have given me the understanding that physical or emotional symptoms are indicators of dis-ease, and just as a broken arm makes opening a jar difficult, long-standing or recent physical, emotional and mental symptoms can make life a daily struggle.

My work as a Classical Homeopath is to gain a holistic understanding of you, by considering your medical history and current symptoms.  Then to  prescribe the correct remedies to systematically remove each layer, and to monitor and adjust your treatment according to your individual needs.

“The long-term benefit of homeopathy to the patient is that it not only alleviates the presenting symptoms but it re-establishes internal order at the deepest levels and thereby provides a lasting cure” George Vithoulkas.
